Discrimination!

Went for job hunting this past few days and there's one thing I must comment about! Went around Bugis for the past 4 days and I saw that there are quite a few shops recruiting people, but lots of them has a minimum requirement of 18 years old and above. I know there’s nothing wrong with that, but for so many days already and yet there’s nobody was willing to work there! I don’t understand why they just won’t lower down the requirement to 16? They might have some stupid reasons…

Reasons:

  1. They suspect that we might steal their items?

  2. We are not mature enough to sell their items? (Crap!)

  3. We will create havoc when nobody’s around?

  4. We did not reach the legal age to work? (Please…this is the worse!)

  5. We can’t handle the work stress? (Since when did they care?)

All these reasons don’t make sense at all! Someone better tell me what stuffs can an 18 years old do we cannot? Are the only jobs left for us are promoters and waiters? So damn pissed off by all this discrimination!

Hmm...I dun think so. Maybe the experience part might be right. But who says only 18 years and above can communicate even better? My cousin is 18 yrs but I think I am more outgoing than her.
