The Land of A Boy Name siaoboi...

After reading shawn's blog i really agree to what he had said about our local tv progremmes.

Have you ever watch cable TV before? Don't you think that the programs abroad are fun and entertaining? But what about Singapore’s? I find that Singapore’s TV programs are always trying to imitate other country's TV programs!

Take for example "欢乐巅峰", If you watch it before, I bet that you could spot a lot of similarity between this and variety shows from abroad e.g. Taiwan. I mean, is it true that Singaporeans lacks even this little bit of creativity to produce creative game shows? If not, then they might as well buy variety shows from Taiwan which are higher in quality as compared to Singapore’s very own.

However there are still outstanding variety shows such as "餐餐有趣味". This show has catered to both people from the higher income group and the lower. In every episode they will recommend restaurants and hawker food, as well as some extraordinary cruise in Singapore! This is really what we needed!

I had no idea why such high quality variety shows had only a few episodes? While those “copy-cats” show gets to have many series! E.g. “欢乐颠峰” it has eight series!

I really hope that Singapore TV industries would come out with more innovative TV game shows programs rather than just being copy-cats!
